Data Mapping Guide

Understanding how your data flows into Milemarker

What is Data Mapping?

Data mapping is the process of aligning data fields from your custodians and other sources to Milemarker's data model. This ensures that account names, positions, transactions, and other information display correctly in the platform.

Key Data Elements

Household & Client Data

Client names, contact information, relationships, and household groupings. Mapped from your CRM or custodian data.

Account Information

Account numbers, registration types, account names, and custodian identifiers. Essential for proper account linking.

Holdings & Positions

Security symbols, CUSIP/ISIN, quantities, cost basis, and market values. Pulled daily from custodians.

Transactions

Buys, sells, dividends, transfers, fees, and other activity. Transaction type codes are mapped to Milemarker categories.
