Orion API Integration

Connect via Orion's direct API

Prerequisites

Your firm must have the "API Terms and Conditions" addendum signed with Orion. If this has already been completed you may set up the API User following the instructions below.

If this has not been completed please contact the Orion Integrations team and request this to be sent to the authorized signer for your firm. They can be contacted at sme-integrations@orion.com or via the "Contact Us" option within your Orion Connect login.

Once the API Terms and Conditions agreement has been executed, we will need:

  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Database ID

This is information you will likely need to reach out to Orion's Integrations team to obtain.

Creating an API User for Milemarker

Follow these steps to create the API user in Orion Connect.

Access Manage Users

In Orion Connect, navigate to the Manage Users section.

Create New User

Create a new user with the following details:

First Name:Milemarker
Last Name:Org
Email:client_role@milemarker.co

Set User Permissions

Ensure the user has appropriate read-only API permissions for data extraction.

Send Credentials to Milemarker

Securely send the following credentials via Password Link:

Client ID
Client Secret
Database ID

Send to connect@milemarker.co

Please use the email client_role@milemarker.co when setting up Milemarker's user credentials.
